Highland Wildlife Park

Discover Scottish wildlife and endangered animals of the world’s mountains and tundra in our spectacular setting. Drive around the Main Reserve in your own car and then investigate the walk-round area on foot. The Wildlife Park has a wide and diverse range of animals. From native species such as the Capercaillie and Scottish Wildcat to those from further afield such as the Amur Tiger and Polar Bear.

Woodland Walk
Once you have parked your car, take a stroll through our Woodland Walk. Here you will find the beautiful satyr tragopans, fearsome Scottish wildcats and the majestic Eurasian eagle owls.

Plus keep your eyes peeled and you might be lucky enough to see a wild red squirrel at one of the feeding stations.

Main Reserve
The main reserve is accessible either by your own vehicle or by joining one of our guided Land Rover Tours which run throughout the day. The main reserve is home to our herd of European bison,

Bukhara and red deer, European elk, Przewalski’s horse, vicuna , and our two male polar bears who you could see enjoying playtime in their pool. The animals in the main reserve happily share this area with a growing selection of birdlife from lapwings, oystercatcher and Barnacle geese that have naturally taken up residency in the Park.

Antlers Coffee Shop
Our newly refurbished Antlers Coffee shop is found in our Visitor Centre. It is open all year round and provides a wide selection of food coupled with spectacular views over our Japanese snow monkey enclosure to the Spey valley beyond.

A range of hot and cold dishes and snacks is available, along with teas, coffee and homebaking. Disabled access is via the path and ramp around the Visitor Centre building.

The coffee shop can seat 60-70 and coach groups are welcome all year round.

The Oystercatcher
The Oystercatcher is located near the Visitor Centre and serves Segafredo coffee, various teas, filled rolls, cakes & biscuits as well as soft drinks, crisps and nuts.
